For this month’s Rewind and Reset, we would like to feature “Multimodal Composing: Beyond
the Text” from the September/October issue of WLN in 2019, a special issue on multimodal writing and writing centers. The authors of the article, Joseph Cheatle and David Sheridan from Michigan State University, presented two vignettes that described what supporting writers with multimodal composition (Powerpoint slides and video essay) might look like in tutoring sessions. Cheatle and Sheridan concluded with a few questions that writing center folks ought to consider regarding tutor training, technology, and space.
