In this month’s Rewind & Reset, we would like to feature “From STEM to Center: Or What I Learned from Tutoring Engineers” from the March/April 2020 issue of WLN: A Journal of Writing Center Scholarship. The author, Brandy Ball Blake, shared that she focused on disciplinary and professional writing genres, audience, and rhetorical purposes when it came to tutoring engineering students. Blake also offered a few practical solutions to how to work with engineering (and STEM) students in the writing center, for example, advertising services that help students professionally.
