Writing at the Center:

A Conference for Peer Tutors, Program Directors, Teacher Leaders, and School Administrators

March 17-18, 2023

George Mason University – Arlington Campus (VA)

The Secondary School Writing Centers Association is thrilled to announce our eleventh annual conference for secondary school writing and peer tutoring centers, directors, and administrators, and because this year’s conference is a partnered conference with the Northern Virginia Writing Project, we also welcome others who have a stake in writing instruction and writing practices more generally.

We are delighted to return to an in-person conference format located just miles from Washington, D.C. at George Mason University – Arlington Campus. We will also have a virtual conference experience for those unable to attend in person. Our conference aims to build scholarship in the field, promote effective practice, and build community among those engaged with writing centers, peer tutoring, and the National Writing Project (NWP).
Additional conference information, including the Call for Proposals, can be found at http://sswca.org/conference/sswca-2023/

Questions? Please email the conference planning committee (Jenny Goransson, Stacey Hahn, Vivian Blair, Heather Barton, Leslie Goetsch, and Rebecca Shields) at conference@sswca.org .
