Dear Colleagues,

Hurry! There are only 3 days left for you to submit your abstract for the 3rd International Conference on English Across the Curriculum. Submissions close on Friday 15 January 2021. Don’t put it off any longer!

We invite you to submit your abstracts related to the following broad categories on EAC and Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL)/Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) at

a) Roles of EAC/WAC/CLIL in learning and teaching of language in various disciplines

b) EAC/WAC/CLIL pedagogy and practices

c) EAC/WAC/CLIL programme design, collaboration, and assessment

d) Technology-enhanced discipline-related language learning

e) Impact and sustainability of EAC/WAC/CLIL

Conference registration is free for presenters and participants and the conference is online so you can attend from anywhere. Registration will start in March – look out for our announcement nearer the time.

We have 3 great plenary speakers for you to listen to:

Dr. Michelle Cox: Director of the English Language Support Office, John S. Knight Institute for Writing in the Disciplines, Cornell University

Professor Do Coyle: Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Palmes Academiques, Director of the Language Education Research Hub / Chair in Languages Education and Classroom Learning, University of Edinburgh

Professor Oliver Meyer: Department of English and Linguistics, Johannes Gutenberg-University / Mainz

The Conference is co-organised by a cross-institutional team from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, City University of Hong Kong, and Hong Kong Baptist University. It will be held online on 20-21 May 2021 and will bring together experts and colleagues to share research and insights on English Across the Curriculum (EAC), Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) and Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL).
